Scotland weekend 2010Added some photos from the long weekend in Scotland. Was a new camera so a bit disappointed with most of the shots, but it's good practice for the tour later in the year.

Weather was generally good. Just a few showers, but most of the time was sunny and quite warm.

Download Festival 2009Recovering from a really nasty cold.

Changed the menu system and added Download 2009 photos as well as changed the video diary section from the tours.

Loads more videos I need to add at some point, but haven't really got the video editing tools needed to cut them down to a size that my host provider would be happy with.

I guess I should really make use of YouTube, but I prefer having everything together in one area.

Russia tour 2009Really am neglecting keeping this site up to date. So thought I'd stick something on here. I've put a quick page together of music videos I've been enjoying recently.

Also added pictures of the 2009 tour to Russia and the Baltic states.
I just never got around to putting a link on the homepage when I put the page together.

Wales 2008Added a few pictures of last years little camping and biking expedition that me and Simon from work did one weekend.
Great little campsite he found where they actually allow campfires. How rare is that in this day and age?
I'll probably get around to grabbing his photo's soon and adding them.

Hmmm, didn't go as well as expected. It DOES show the route, but you have to actually click on the "SHOW LARGER MAP" link at the bottom which will take you to google maps to show the entire route (it's on 2 pages). Not quite as good as I was expecting. Still, see for yourself by visiting the test here.

Saturday night, and I'm bored. So I've just thought about trying some stuff with google maps and Panoramio.
I'm contemplating getting the Artic Circle Bike tour into a proper route on google maps, with photo's on the rough locations of where they were taken.
Lets see how long my interest holds on this.... (on past experience of me and this website, well probably not long, but seems like fun at the moment).

Thought I'd hook a link in to a great little tool I was using today to clean my works PC up a bit. It's called CCleaner, and you can get it for free here.

Basicaly it's short for "Crap Cleaner", and it does what it says on the tin. Cleans up the registry the cache's the dll's the cookies, the recent documents, hell it even clears down the historical mstsc locations.

Great little tool. Best one I've found so far. And ITS FREE!

So go grab yourself a copy and get your PC running a bit better.

Really enjoying the Gipsy Kings at the moment, so thought I'd hook a link in.....

Check the "Buy Stuff" link on the left if you want to buy the album from Amazon (hint, hint).

Latest Balkan tour photo's.The site re-vamp goes on! I've finished getting the pictures section sorted out (to allow bigger pictures to be displayed), and have written a little C#.Net application to do all the auto re-sizing and generation of smaller thumbnails for me. And as I'm so damned lazy it will even write the HTML code used to display the thumbnails and link through to the bigger images... how lazy is that!

So... included in the piccies section is all of the latest Balkans Or Bust tour photo's. At some point I'll go through and put all the video diaries in place as well, but for now I've stripped them out of all the pages.

I'm thinking a pop-up layer allowing video's to be shown without going to another page might work well. Might also be better for actually viewing the photo's as well, but for now I just want the basics in place.

Amazon Associates - a way of making some money?I've also decided I need to start generating extra income, so I've added in an Amazon Associates shop on the off-chance that anyone visiting this site will want to purchase things I own from Amazon. I know, the chances are so remote that it's almost not worth the bother, but it was amusing to do, and I'm an optomist (might also encourage me to spend more time developing this site to boost throughput).
